Streams in the Desert Devotion App Reviews

Most days the devotional is good. But then there are days when it is like God wrote it just for me for that day. I do my best to read the devotions as often as I can.

A special comfort indeed!!!!

I do like the updated version of Streams in the Desert edited by Jim Reimann, but there is comfort in reading those same thoughts in their eloquent original context. Our struggles are the same ones felt several generations back and Gods promises to them belong to us as well.

I have never written a review before, but wanted to highly recommend this App to those who want to be in the Word daily, and have trouble finding the time. I love the reminder function, as well as the ability to make daily notes on the readings. And, the ability to bookmark pages is awesome for going back to my favorite readings. I will use this App for many years.

Totally relevant to my every day Spiritual life.

This is such a delight to have on my iPad/iPhone when I dont have my leather bound copy in my midst. Its written in the language of the original text which is comforting to me at times since I love old English. My personal copy is updated contemporary English. A great way to share with others as well on social media!

I love this app. The devotionals are short but sweet. I also appreciate that it needs no wifi to use daily.

I kept the hard cover edition with me while overseas. I read and reread the book with much joy. And I am now getting much comfort from the electronic version as well

Im really enjoying this devotional. It is thought provoking and good for the maturing believer. It works perfectly on the iPhone 6.

What a great way to study a classic that I have used for years and years. The pictures are beautiful and I like the audio option for times when I need to hear Gods word but Im not able to read, such as when driving. Really like how its organized and all of the different functions. Thank you for creating it! Now I dont have to carry my hard copy anymore while traveling. :)

I so appreciate the app developers using the ORIGINAL Streams in the Desert, not the "updated" version that seems to be everywhere. The selections in this book are so rich and beautiful and deep...I certainly dont need anyone to translate it into modern-day dumbed down English! I have looked on and off for years for an app like this and was so happy to find not only this, but Spurgeons Morning and Evening too. Bought the bundle and have been very satisfied. I did drop it one star though because theres no way to highlight in the passages. (At least that Ive been able to find. Maybe Im missing it.) Other than that, its just what I was looking for!

This is truly a stream of blessing every morning. It has been my companion,along with the Bible, and a fountain to refresh my soul.
